The client provides the design and specifications, and the manufacturer simply produces the goods. It is essentially contract manufacturing where the intellectual property belongs to the client.
ODM (Original Design Manufacturer)
The manufacturer designs and produces the product, which the client then brands as their own (sometimes with minor modifications). This is known as private labeling
